This was written as the days went on. Very little of consequence has been left out. Nothing startling has been revealed herein. So you who may find this in after years and read won’t find much to shock or startle you.

Much of this was written under fire.

Forgive all failings and remember that some things done during stress of war time are not carried on in peace.
